Bringing order from the Chaos

making things a little simpler one thing at a time.

Services offered

3D Printing and Design.

Have a file, need a part? Sorted.Have a broken part and no file? Also sorted — as long as it's not rocket surgery. I design and print replacements for simple household bits and pieces (brackets, knobs, clips, that sort of thing). Complex mechanisms are a "let's have a chat" rather than a "yes.".

Website Development

Need a website? I build simple, no-fuss sites using solid AI tools — think open-for-business, not enterprise IT department.

App Development

Got a problem an app could solve? Inventory, workout logging, whatever it is — I'll build it for Android, Windows, or the web. Not Silicon Valley, just solid and functional.

Video Creation

Video editing and creation — splicing your footage and photos into social media reels, YouTube edits, or family memory videos, with or without music. Edited in DaVinci Resolve, simple effects sorted, fancy stuff by arrangement.

Lawn Mowing

Plot twist: from web apps to whipper snippers. Lawn mowing, edging, brush cutting, green waste removal, general yard work, garden bed construction — sorted. Need actual plant expertise? My wife runs Chaos in Green — I raid her knowledge for free, or bring her in properly (for a fee) when it needs to be done right..

About me

After 26 years as a police officer, I hung up the badge last year on medical grounds and went looking for a new line of work — something with noticeably fewer drunks and a lot less stress.

Turns out that gap gets filled fast when you've always liked computers. It started with building my wife's business website, which turned into a genuine itch to learn web and app development properly — partly to solve problems I actually have, partly because it's fun. Somewhere in amongst that I fell hard for 3D printing, and have since upgraded from my first printer to one that can also fire a laser at things (yes, really).

More recently I've picked up video editing — stitching clips and photos into something worth watching. That habit started with "The Burning," a project documenting the construction work at the Longley International Hotel, and it's stuck.

When I'm not on the PC, you'll usually find me mowing lawns with an audiobook going — genuinely one of life's more underrated forms of therapy — or brewing my own beer. The rest of my time goes to my wife and our two dachshunds.

I'm not a career IT specialist and I won't pretend to be one — everything above I've learned by doing, and I'm still learning. What I will do is tell you straight whether a job's in my wheelhouse before I take your money.
